The White Weapon

[Kurora Kita]

Kurora walked around the city, bored out of her mind, and maybe even more. She couldn't get the Idea that Shiro was dead ,and there was nothing to do about it, out of her mind. She looked up at the sky, her hood falling off, showing her blue tinged, silver hair. She noticed it fell and looked down Immediately, pulling her hood back on. She looked around, her eyes flashing. She sighed, "I don't think anyone saw..." Kurora was starting to get a headache, a name popped up in her head but she couldn't remember a face. Viper. She shook her head. That sounded like a snake to her, not a person...Kurora took her hood down and let the cool air hit her face and the back of her neck. The wind blew her hair sideways and she opened her eyes wide. The was something she couldn't remember that was bugging her but now she remembered. She would return to DWMA tomorrow for the first time since Shiro died.

Jayda was walking along, she had her arms crossed holding a book as she hurred along the streets. She had to get home, her mom must be worried! Her dad, eh, who knew, he didn't seem to care.... Jayda passed the people gently, barely bumping them or getting in their way.

"Come on!" She said. "Almost there!"

She came across the next block and turned around somewhat fast and tripped over a box that was sitting there on the streets. Her and the box fell over, right where Kurora was standing. Jayda sat up and looked around.

"owwwww..."

Kurora jumped a bit, "Ah..!"

Jayda looked up at her.

"Oh...hi..." She said shaking her head. "Sorry, I scared you didn't I? Well, sorry, I didn't see this box here..." She said looking at it.

Then she saw it, a small puppy it was on its belly just laying there, eyes closed. She looked at it and then smiled.

"Awwwww! It's so cute!!" She said smiling.

She had comepletely forgotten about the girl now, she was to memorized by the cuteness of the puppy. Her wolf ears poked out and twitched.

Kurora was confused now. "Uh...Ummm..." It was weird that someone would come around the corner, say Hi, then get destracted by a ... puppy. On top of that, the girl had wolf ears. Kurora teardropped, "Uh...Hello...?" She didn't expect the girl to answer.

Jayda's ears twitched. She looked behind her to see the girl she had completely forgot about. She went a little red, feeling guilty and embatrrasemenet about forgetting somebody completely over a puppy.

"Sorry..." Jayda said, scratching the back of her head. "I....can't help it...I just like Canines....and he was so cute.... uh..." She smiled nervously.

She pet the puppy on its head, and it made a whimper and scooted closer to her.

Kurora smiled, "Its fine. My names Kurora, by the way, Kurora Kita. Whats your name?" Kurora put her hood down again, since she had put it back up when the girl had scared her. She looked at the puppy. It was cute...

"I'm Jayda." She said smiling. "Nice to meet you!"

She looked at the pup who had its tongue sticking out, panting at the warm weather. She smiled.

"So...umm.." Kurora was getting nervous. She looked at the pup, "Cute, huh?" Kurora couldn't think of anything else to say so she started humming to herself. She didn't know exactly what it was called but she recalled the melody. "Dancing, Dancing, with the rose, turning, turning, right with me, You'll never, ever, be alone you see..." Kurora realized she had started to sing and stopped in embarassment, "I..."

She smiled. "Yeah He is cute." She smiled. "I might take him home with me, I mean, I've been wanting a pet....Mom is sure not to be mad, I mean, she has her own dog....so why not?" The puppy crawled into her lap and she smiled.

The girl started singing, she had a pretty voice, she really did. When she realized it Jayda laughed. She was nervous and embarassed now. "Don't be embarassed, you have a fine voice there you do. I wish I could sing like that. I'm not good at high pitched voices though, besides that I'm known to sing well."

"I...okay...." Kurora rarly sang, expecially after Shiro's death. He had said just about the same thing as Jayda just did. She blinked, "your tougher than that, Kurora, don't cry..." She muttered to herself. She sighed.

Jayda's ears twitched as she heard the mumble. She smiled gently.

"It's ok to cry, it doesn't exactly make you weak. It helps let emotions out, and thats good to do every once in awhile. You can't hold everything in can you?" She asked. "And I won't be mad or make fun of you if you cry in front of me, I understand." She said. "By the way, whats the particular reason you feel like crying? If it's not to personal, I understand if it is though"

Its started. The tears fell in slow sucession."I...am a weapon...who lost my Meister," She said slowly, trying not to cry too much, "I lost him in a battle with a...a...witch..." Kurora clenched both fists.

She looked at her. "I see. I'm sorry for your loss. Wanna know something?" She asked, getting up, picking the puppy up in the process, and going over to her. "I lost my best friend....to a kishin...." She whispered, loud enough for only the two of them to hear. "And I still cry about it to, so it's ok." She backed up and held the puppy out in front of her. "Puppy!" She said, the puppy licked Kurora on the nose.
